looking for photos of workers in the Arab world

I’m looking for a broad range of photographs of workers in Arab countries (Syria, Iraq, Lebanon, Jordan, Occupied Palestinian Territories, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Oman, Bahrain, Qatar, UAE, Yemen, Egypt, North Africa). They are to be used in a small print run (1500) of brochures about worker’s rights (especially women’s) by the International Labor Organization’s regional branch in the Arab world (the ILO is part of the UN).

I can give anyone who is interested more details. Here I’m just letting you know what we are looking for, in case you would like to submit some photographs.

Description of what we need:

- Women in traditional and non-traditional walks of life in the world of work

For example: migrant domestic worker (maids), engineer, street vendor, sales person in retail or in larger business, business leaders, managers, teachers, doctors, nurses, architects, movie directors, actors, cab drivers, secretaries, lawyers, judges, airport attendants, politicians, social service care workers (physical therapists, social workers, home care givers), tourism sector workers (receptionists, travel agents, tour guides, restaurant workers, customs and passport officers, UAE passport and customs control has many women workers for instance in Dubai and Abu Dhabi), bankers, IT, insurance, real estate, construction firm, architecture, advertising.

- In these kind of settings: in shops, in agriculture, in home based production, cooperatives, in airports, in government, in private sector, in factories, in textile workshops, electronic workshops, computer programmers, telecenters, post offices, libraries, etc.

- Women workers depicted alone are fine, but also along with colleagues and clients is better

- We will need some photos of men workers and some photos with men and women working together

- Photos need to be dynamic, show movement or interaction

The ILO will pay for the use of these photographs.
