Looking for a summer flat in Beirut
|
Afternoon all,
Just looking for some advice on getting a flat in Beirut from the end of July through to the start of September. I’ve never been to Lebanon before and my Arabic is still a more than a little sketchy so any tips I can get before I pack my bags and head off would be greatly appreciated!
Cheers guys, Mike.

Hello Mike
I can help you in that, but if you give me some time.. 3 or 4 days ok?!... I am very busy working on some deadlines, sending pix for an exhibit and projects now and my poor head seems to be not helping me in focusing much.. It would be easier if you tell me how much you can pay maximum for a flat… If you want a roommate or not.. etc. And what you want to know more about Lebanon, you can send me an email and I can get back to you on everything you need to know.. Ex pats usually complain about the fact that they never learn Arabic here because everybody speaks English or/and French.. So this should be the least of your problems here.. cheers, Dalia.

good after noon to you sir, you need to pack your bag and directly come to lebanon, nothing spechial you can bring with you, but it’s expensive here, espeshaly in Beriut, food, stay, clubs, everything… About arabic language, almost of ppl here talks english, so it’s no problem, and if you need an assistent here, i can help you for sure.. Hi Bashar,
Thanks for your message. I’ve been saving for a while so hopefully I’ll have enough money to last 5 weeks of exploring! I’ll give you a message when I get out there and maybe we can meet up for a drink.
Take care, Mike.

Hi Mike,
I guess you have found a great flat till now. I hope at least. It would be great if you could share your experience with me (or even your flat :). I am also arriving to Beirut, probably a little earlier than you (mid July) and leaving the same time as you (mid Sep). Doing my PHD field work there. Looking for a flat etc… take care looking forward to your reply (or somebody else^s)
