LS at New York PhotoPlus Expo?

FWIW, I’m going down for the 23/24 to geek out, and I think Neal’s gonna go, well, sampling the local malts with me… Not sure what the protocol for official LS meet ups is, but thought I’d float it out there.I know it ain’t France, but anyone want to make a formal, or informal event of it?

Ted, would you give a head’s up closer to the date to see who is in the city (not just for the Expo) and we can all have a beer / chat..would love to meet you but can’t plan more than a few days in advance :)

I hope to be there on Thursday afternoon and Friday, leaving in the late afternoon on Friday. So I would be game for something on Thursday evening, but I’m outta there after my seminars on Friday.

Wanted to give an update and a bump… wondering if anyone has been considering a LS gettogether?
I’m planning for a full day Friday, but have canceled plans for Thursday night stayover to save a few bucks.

I’m planning on all day Thursday & Friday at photoplusexpo – so I’ll be around.

I wanted to do a brekky at the Cheyenne Diner Friday AM, but it’s closed. gone. poof.
Know of anything else nearby?

“Shutters” Restaurant is on (I believe) 34th bet 9 & 10 aves. However, I don’t believe they’re open for breakfast. Italian place – it’s nearby – very convenient.

I am only going to be there on Thursday evening, though my presence is certainly not necessary (I have done my share this year of organizing LS get-togethers). But if someone wants to do something Thursday evening, then let me know. As it stands now I have no plans. And J.R., if nobody organizes anything I’d love to share a brew with you at Shutters or anywhere else. If you are interested send me a message with the number of the mobile you’ll have with you in NYC.
BTW, for those of you who want to go to the “Shrine,” B&H is only a couple of blocks from the Javits Center. I think you walk by it coming across 34th Street from Penn Station.

Hmmm…I was planning to be there on Fri. morning but can change to Thurs. afternoon and then do the LS drinkie dinner thing. But what time does Thursday evening start? The floor show closes at 5PM. I haven’t a clue where to go in that part of town.

i may have just spent my train fare on CS4. ppffffffft.

ok ok. just bought my ticket for friday. lots to do in one day, but I’ll be around the Maine Media booth, 755, until they call security, hawking classes. My train back leaves at 730pm, so i’d be up for a quick pop somewhere…
