LS in Senegal

I’m in Dakar until Feb 25 if any LSers feel like meeting up for shooting, coffee… Best way to reach me would be to send sms to my mobile number (listed in my profile).

Cheers, Bill

Hi Michele, I’m staying with my wife’s family, in a pretty nice area near the airport. So not much help in terms of recommending hotels. Though I’m typing this in the lobby of the nearby Cap Ouest (Cap West) Hotel and the place seems nice and right on the water. Wifi’s decent and the beer is cold. I have no idea about price though…

As far as powering up, Dakar’s pretty developed by African standards. Any place you’d stay short of a rustic hostel will have juice, you’ll just need the two pronged adaptor (same as European). Assuming your chargers are dual voltage, which I’m sure they are. Though the power does cut out in some areas on a somewhat regular basis for short periods (minutes or hours).
