About

Lucky got bitten by the shutterbug during a break form college. He apprenticed as a photojournalist under Pat Roque and Bullet Marquez of the Associated Press. After graduating from the University of the Philippines (Diliman) with a degree in BS Anthropology, he left photojournalism for a while and turned to advertising photography. The young photographer apprenticed under Neal Oshima and later moved to Raymond Isaac’s studio as an in-house photographer. In 2005, he was one of six photographers chosen by Epson to be their Epson Stylus Pros. Lucky is also the recipient of a scholarship program from the Konrad Adenauer Asian Center for Journalism at the Ateneo de Manila University for a Diploma course in Photojournalism. He currently juggles his schedule between shooting for various companies, and ad agencies, as well as for magazines. While in the past Lucky used to turn down requests from friends to teach them photography, he says he is now ready to share his know-how after gaining solid background in his craft. "Photojournalism to me is not just a job but a way of life...the visual "light painter" has the power to immortalize a certain person or event through that image. He has the power to freeze history in that fraction of a second". "Come Fly with Me" >>> Lucky B. <<<
