Mac dealer/support in Kabul

Hi there,
the AC charger for my ibook seems to have died on me. Not good when on assignment in Kabul! Does anybody know a dealership or mac savy guy/s out here?

I doubt you’ll find a Mac-specific solution to your problem. As a temp solution you could find a colleague with a mac and share a power chord while A: waiting for a new chord to be brought in somehow or B: getting a local electrician to try to fix your chord. B is the riskier solution, but it could work if you’re really desperate. I’ve done worse.

Thorne, Thanks for the ideas. I was thinking along the same lines and had my stringer do some research in the morning. It was amazing. He found a place where they took the charger apart (for who it may concern: Shop#1 at Dubai Computer Plaza in Shar-e Naw). Some funky engineer guy rewired it and now it works beautifully. I agree, it is risky and I will get a new one once I am back home. However, it confirmed once again my impression that if something can be fixed, they take great pride in doing so in Afghanistan.
