Mac Software Recommendations for Invoicing and client tracking

Can anyone recommend an accounting program and a program for managing client relationships (sometimes referred to as Customer Relationship Management (CRM) software?

Ideally, something that ties in to Apple products like Mail and Address Book and appropriate for a freelancer (one man shop) would be ideal.

Thanks in advance.

best,
Charlie

Hello Charles,

There is a program out there called “MacFreelance”. I think it’s as close as you are going to get. I think its only $40 or thereabouts.

Hope all is well,

James

What would I do without you James? In fact, I should just email you directly from now on. Thanks, I’ll check it out. Are you using it?

Charles,

I’ve been using a program called BlinkBid for a couple years now and it is perfect. It’s designed specifically for freelance photographers and is very customizable. I don’t know about integration with Apple Mail and Address Book as I use Entourage on my Mac.

I also came across these in my research, but something oriented towards photographers would be ideal:

Now Up to Date
Relationship 1.1
Daylight
Timeslice

i also use blinkbid, and it’s been great so far. very customizable , and lets you track all sorts of numbers you probably wouldn’t compile otherwise.

I’m currently choosing between Billings and MacFreelance right now. Evaluating them this week.

charlie,

when you are done making this list you should add what you find to http://www.lightstalkers.org/resources/bytype/95

adding links etc would be great.

MacFreelance was recommended to me by an editor, I just got it but haven’t tried it out yet. Seems easy to use and simple though.

For full-fledged photo software — everything you can possibly need to run a business plus it’s fully customizable — take a look at InView/StockView from Hindsight software. Demo available at www.hindsightltd.com.

Thanks all. I’m checking them out. Any suggestions on CRM software would be great, since I have less leads there.
