Hi Guys,

We have all seen Loads of post on here about which is better Mac vs PC or Nikon vs Canon but I was wondering if they are linked? Do Mac people use Nikon and PC people use Canon for example? Just a straw poll, tell us what you use

Guinness and Gauloises.

Although, I’ll settle for lager and rolling tobacco, at a pinch.

Quite keen on Canon and Mac stuff too.

M8 & scarf

M6 & shirt stained x developer

I use an M8, use a scarf when it’s dusty, have Macs, use a Canon (too) but don’t have a car.

Is this poll for some advertising purposes?

Hmmm, a scarf would look great with my packet of Gauloises…

By the way, is the M8 any good John?

As good as my scarf…

Nikon and Mac. But I have to note that would trade my Nikons for Canons if I had to, where as I would never trade my mac for an XP box

Merrell and Canon on Tuesdays, Levi’s and Mac Wednesdays. I don’t smoke, but if I do I’ll go with the M8 with a ThinkTank Urban Disguise 50 bag over my head.

Is this like one of those stupid “does the size of the tool matter” questions? If so, max RAM, up yours!

Always used Macs; was a Nikon user but shoot Canon now. Want to switch to Leica but no money.

Canon, PC, want a Leica M8 that works but can’t afford it, no scarf, gave up smoking years ago.

I use Nikon and PC. So there!

Ive nothing against Canon, Mac, Leica, Porsche, etc., mind you. It’s all fine stuff. They are all tools and the output depends on you. For me it’s what you’re used to and considerations of economics. I can honestly say that the Nikon D3 is the finest digital camera I’ve ever had my hands on. But I’m sure Canon will soon come along with something cool. I refuse to believe there is anything inherently superior in the brands above (except maybe Porsche!). It’s, as others have said before, briefs versus boxers.

Canon, Vivitar (Cosina actually) and PC. I have a scarf, but I dont wear it, as it makes me look pretentious. I do have a leather jacket, though, which is my one cool item of clothing. You’d think I’d have more cool clothes at this late date in my life, but when you arrive at this late date, cool can go suck eggs; you want something warm.

Thanks michel, you just saved my career. As we all know, it’s all about looks, content is not important. So I’ll go and wear a scarf and hang a M8 ’round my neck and bang Newsweek, Time and NG will all come begging for my pictures.

Stupid Porsche? Move it over please and make room for the Bugatti Veyron, @ 407 km/h.

Holy s**t! I didn’t even know that anyone still made Bugattis.

Oh well, I guess we are a bit off-topic here. But thanks for the fantasy, SP.

How about going 328 km/h, while wearing a scarf with three of your closest photog friends in the car with you? Oh, and the naming scheme matches your Leicas…the BMW M5:

No, no, no Rutgher no kidding, be darn serious about it. Always say it like you mean it!! You WILL bang them with your scarf and your M8 losely swinging on your shoulder. You will, believe me..

Well, maybe not with a scarf and an M8, but someday I will get my work published in the bigger dutch papers and magazines, for starters. Just have to hone my skills a bit more. Watch out world, here I come

Shame on you, Guido.
Orval and Rochefort of course.
And also (analog) Nikon and an old, almost analog PC. But maybe that’s just because I spend too much money on good beer.
