This was also in the National Geographic a few months ago. A wonderful, difficult, and sad, story, but pulled off with great professionalism and sensitivity.

Yes, I also saw the essay in NG a few months back….we are, in the end above all, each others keepers and no more true is that than with our families…a heartbreaking, profound, ache-filled but above all beautifully humane story not of fragility but of human endurance…in the face of all…
