About
Marcin JM moved to New York from Poland in 2001, two weeks after 9/11. He discovered a city of strong and generous people, a city that was full of energy and inspiration. New York grabbed his heart completely and in result he decided to stay and build his career here. Marcin JM went to International Center of Photography (icp.org) where he helped as a teaching assistant for 3 years. He also had an opportunity to work with some of the best photographers in the field like Kenji Toma, Howard Schatz and Gary Land. Marcin JM started his photography journey capturing the scenes of the streets of New York City. After being exhibited a few times in New York and Europe he dropped a lonely life as a street photographer and devoted himself to a more commercial work. In the summer of 2009 Marcin JM founded Diamond Shot Studio, specializing in nearly all aspects of commercial photography: from catalogs and look books, through fashion and lifestyle, to product photography and corporate events. Right now Marcin JM is finding an inspiration in fashion and portraiture and is working in his studio in Long Island City.

To whom it may concern,
I’m a freelance photgrapher living and working in New York. I’ve been assisting for 3 years and I know a lot. I’m still gaining experience though and I’m willing to learn more. So here’s the deal: (STARTING FROM MARCH 27th) I’ll work at your first shoot for free; you can hire me for the next one if you think I’m good enough.
