Marcus Yam

Marcus Yam is a recent graduate from the State University of New York in Buffalo, NY. For the longest time, fluid motion and avionics fueled his dreams of becoming a pilot and after graduating an aerospace engineer, he stumbled onto a passion that has become his outlet for his personal vision.

In the summer of 2006, he made a career adjustment and is now dedicated to learning, understanding and most importantly : sharing the world as a journalist. He is a gregarious, vivacious and enthusiastic and hopes that it comes across in his work.

He is currently a graduate student with the School of Visual Communication at Ohio University and have completed internships with the Buffalo News, Associated Press, Atlanta Journal-Constitution and The Roanoke Times. He is currently interning at the Concord Monitor in Concord, NH.
