About

As a Dutch professional photographer and creative director, who graduated from Design Academy in The Netherlands in 1995, I have experience in several fields of photography and design.

Originally from The Netherlands I am currently working abroad, where I am involved as co-founder, photographer and creative director with BRANDOUTLOUD.

BrandOutLoud is a Dutch non-profit organisation that provides tailor-made branding & communications to local aid organisations worldwide.

WE BELIEVE THAT
…developing a professional set of communication tools is all about identity: knowing who you are and what you stand for. A genuine, convincing and authoritative message to the world will attract a broader audience and increase your impact.

MAKING DIFFERENCE
We combine sophisticated photography, graphic design, copy and an outstanding online presence. The result is a striking communications cocktail, enabling local aid organisations to promote themselves in a positive and successful way for years ahead.

Achieve awareness about global issues through aestethics. Change the way currently developmental aid organisations are communicating, to make it more approachable and aesthetic to a broader audience.

While Van Luyk is still living out of a suit-case, he adapts easily to different cultures. Moreover he enjoys everyday working with people- from young ones to elderly- to create together the greatest imagery.

True to BrandOutLoud’s philosophy ‘visualise to persuade’, strong imagery was the essence of the whole concept. Portraying persons with disability in their own environment and community – seeing ability, and not disability. While CDMD’s corporate imagery represents the variety of people being helped in different community situations, the imagery for the photo documentaries focuses on some of the lives of persons with disability in their own environment.
