My name is Marvin Andino, I’m a New York city based photographer. I was born in Honduras Central America, I arrived in New York City at the age of 7 years. I grew up living in all of New York’s five boroughs, The Bronx, Manhattan, Brooklyn, Staten Island and now in Queens. Graduated from “The Germain School of Photography” in NYC August 1989.
For five years after my graduation I was a Commercial and Fashion photographer. I took a short break from photography during the mid 90’s. For the last 6 years I have been taking great pleasure in doing all types of photography such as travel, portraits, sports, landscape and stock photography. My work has taken me to Japan, Taiwan, south Korea and the American West.
My work keeps me very busy and I always try to find the time during my travels to photograph subjects that are very personal to me. I’m inspired by such masters as Brett Weston, Edward Weston, Bruce Barnbaum and Michael Kenna. I work in both film and digital but I’m from the old school of photography and just love working with Black & White negatives.
