Matchmaking
|
OK, I’m single again, dammit. As many know, it’s damned hard to find a nice girl who doesn’t freak out at what we like to do, the pictures we make, the things we see. I’m tired of, “Honey, don’t go back to X,” especially when X is Northern Iraq or Thailand. OK, Baghdad’s tricky, but Erbil?
I’d like to propose the LS start its own “matchmaker”. If any group needs a better way to find a date, it’s us. Find me a ICRC IHL investigator and I’ll be happy.

Im gonna regret writing this Im sure, but may I mention the following: the Foundry Photojournalism Workshop in Mexico City in June has a LARGE number of women attending. Im sure a fair number will be single, and they are photojournalists. Oh wait, then you’d be dating a photojournalist, and youd have to put up with the same shit we put our spouses/significant others through. But really, come on down…maybe we can have a photo-j ball or soiree.

Eric, did I forget to mention a “nice girl” in my FPW application?
Joking… Kind of…
Anyway; your response made me laugh.
