In my photography I aim to acquire interesting, timeless images that capture the essence of the places, and the humanity of the people and cultures I visit. I want the viewer to be able to relate to the image on one level and at the same time to see something new.
In my photography my primary aim is not to document a place or people but to capture what I will call an “extra something”. Sometimes that special thing might be the light and geometry of a shot, but more often it is the expression of an emotion in the face of a local person.
