My work is predominantly conceptual, attempting to deconstruct photography and provide radical oppositions to the current practices and visual codes that dominate the world we see through photographs.
Documentary photographic practice has consistently produced images depicting the other. Whether that be the people or places on periphery of society in terms of class, wealth, geography, gender, recreational practices, health and many others.
My work seeks to provide opposition to these traditions and depicts the centre. What is close to us is as interesting as it is different to the images we typically come into contact with whether that be in the press or in the gallery.
