MediaStorm - A new multimedia publication

Hi all,

I have been working with my buddy Brian Storm on a new multimedia publication called Mediastorm. Today we made it live.

The launch includes work from a diverse set of photographers, audio reporters, filmmakers and musicians and contains not only journalistic stories, but also lighter projects with, hopefully, appeal for a broad audience.

We are pushing envelope a bit with regard to internet technology, so you will need the latest Flash plugin (Player 8) to see the site, which you will be prompted to download on your first visit, if you don’t already have it. A high-speed internet connection and a computer with a pretty fast processor is also required as our videos are high quality.

Check it out at http://www.mediastorm.org

And please note, we pay licensing fees for the projects we publish and we are always seeking submissions for future projects, which will be published on an ongoing basis. If you have great work, or an idea, you would like to submit for consideration, please visit the submissions guidelines page:

Thanks,

Rob

Love the site and especially the piece on aging.

I saw the preview in Perpignan and it was very impressive – and got a great reception from the audience as I recall.

I’ve been periodically checking the site to see when it was kicking off and have signed up for the newsletter.

It certainly deserves to succeed and inspired a fresh interest in me concerning the use of images with sound, along with new ways to leverage images to audiences using digital technology.

Good luck!
