Meenu received her Bachelors of Fine Arts degree in Photography from the San Francisco Art Institute where she studied photography, video, digital sound and 16mm film. Her work has been published by: The Houston Chronicle, The New York Times, Associated Press, Business Week, PBS/Now, SEIU, Greenpeace, The Progressive, CorpWatch, Code Pink, The Ruckus Society, Z Magazine and various other International and U.S. based organizations and publications.
Meenu was awarded a scholarship and attended the 2007 Missouri Photo Workshop. She photographed for The Houston Chronicle from 2004-2007 and completed internships with Magnum Photos in New York City in 2003 and with Asphodel Records recording studio The Bloody Angle Compound in San Francisco, California in 2001.
Her photographs, serigraphs, video pieces and 16mm films have been shown in San Francisco, California at the Diego Rivera Gallery, Stillights Gallery, New Nothing Cinema, San Rafael Film Center, Austin Texas Ladyfest 2004 and Dallas Texas at the Avenue Arts Venue where she also co-curated and organized an all women art show entitled “Viva La Woman”.
