Megumi Sadoyama Rooze

I am an experienced photojournalist and I am currently working as a photographer in Austin, Texas. I am a graduate of the University of Texas at Arlington. I earned a BFA and studied painting and photography. During my years at UTA, I worked at The Shorthorn, the best college newspaper in Texas according to the Associated Press. I started as a photographer and then was promoted to photo editor. During my time at the paper I earned numerous awards including: Second Place for
Photo Story at TIPA 2008, Honorable Mention for Photo Story 2007, Columbia Press Association Gold Circle Award for campus photo story 2007. I am currenlty a member of the NPPA.
