Meindert van Dijk

As a freelance photographer Meindert van Dijk (1955) is specialized in journalistic, reporting and documentarily photography specially about nature, the environment and the scenery. 



During his 20 years career at the Dutch Police Forces he experienced a lot with ‘judicial photography’. Numbers of common offences, crimes, road accidents and environmental offences were photographed (sometimes even by airplane or helicopter). After his transit to the Frisian Water Board (Wetterskip Fryslan) in 1992 as an environmental inspector he made a lot of pictures of illegal drain offs and environmental calamities. Since 2005 Meindert is employed as webmaster and photographer at the section Communications of the Frisian Water Board. 



In his spare time he was and is active as a nature, environmental and scenery photographer. Since some years he is getting specialized in garden photography, aerial photography and architectural photography.



His photos have been published in several kinds of newspapers, magazines and books.
