Morroco

there are a plethora of good places to stay in Marrakesh…around the Djemme el Fna…which is where all the good action is anyways…just walk around, you’ll see lots of nice places. When I was in Fes, I stayed in the medina and it was really noisy…non stop, even the night was quite loud…so if you want quiet, i recommend staying outside the medina. but the medina is really interesting and great for the experience. Are you going to head to Merzouga? I highly recommend staying at one of the Kasbah/ guesthouses right on the Sahara (just out of the town of Merzouga)...unreal experience, really beautiful, one of the best in Morocco…and actually the fanciest place I stayed while in Maroc…personal message me if want more specifics. have fun!

All places are cheap and safe (but not all are clean). Just keep your eyes open. The only risk is pick-pocketing, you just need to be aware (but not paranoid about it).
You will love it. Take a couple of days to visit Chefchaouen, is absolute fabulous.
