I am a photojournalist living in Little Rock, Ark. I have been working in photography and journalism for 13 years, starting with when Hurricane Andrew blew right through New Orleans and parked itself over my hometown, and continuing through last year when I was on the scene at the Mississippi Gulf Coast for Hurricane Katrina. I also photographed in Uganda, Africa last year.

I recently became one of the rare among the photojournalism community to be out of work voluntarily, when I quit my job at the Arkansas Democrat-Gazette to care for my new baby and, hopefully, to freelance.
