My name is Muhammad Atif Yaqub; I am a professional photographer
based in London. During my late teens I decided to travel with the hope of expanding my knowledge of the wider world. Already having a keen passion for photography, the trip marked the beginning of my career.
By giving me an insight into different ways of life that were previously unknown to me, it Provided me with the purpose and motivation that underlies my work: to highlight the amazing diversity of people and cultures that exist even in our modern, globalised world.
My aim is to use the lens to capture and contrast traditional and modern ways of life, emphasising their respective links with the past and future. I want particularly, to capture in image traditional living in the modern age, that maintains a constant link with the past, and provide the viewer with a different perspective of the world in which they live.
