Na Son Nguyen

Na Son is a Vietnamese freelance photographer shooting news, documentary, features, stories, commercial works(wedding and advertising…) covering Vietnam and some other countries in SE Asia. Since 2007 to present, he has been the photo-stringer for Associated Press (AP) in Vietnam and now he is the main shooter for AP in the country.

From 2004, Na Son’s worked for most of the leading newspapers and magazines in Vietnam and other foreign agencies, magazines includes Penta Press, AstusFoto, The WSJ, Asies Magazine, Corriere della Sera… And his assignments, projects have been published in WSJ, TIME, USA Today, Washington Post, BBC, UN ILO…

Na Son bases in both Hanoi and Hochiminh city as he spends half month in each city . He has an in-side-out knowledge about his country as he has traveled to shoot pictures to all 63 provinces and cities throughout Vietnam many times.

Na Son has also traveled to more than 25 countries in the world. Especially, He was in Iraq in 2002, in Lebanon and other Mideast countries in July-August 2006 to cover the conflict between Hezbollah Force and Israeli Army…
