The first five images on my profile are from a recent samulnori concert in the little south korean town of Kumwang, my home for the time being. "Samulnori," iliterally meaning "four instruments," is a Korean traditional percussion quatet played with two drums and two cymbals. Although the instruments and compositions are centuries old emerging from villages played by farmers in town festivals, Lee Kwang Su, pictured in the first and third images, and three other musicians first formed the four instrument quartet in 1978.
Photography wise, i don’t think i shot anything original, but i would appreciate any comments anyone might have…
Thanks,
nath
