Need a room in Denver, Colorado Aug. 24th to Aug. 29th

Hi all,

I am looking for a room in Denver, Colorado from August 24th to August 29th. I’ll be in Denver to cover the Democratic Convention and all hotels, at least the cheap ones, are fully booked. Any help is appreciated.

Thanks,
Martin

I was hoping to head out that way as well. Nobody wants to help out your fellow Lightstalker? ;) I wonder how hard it can really be to camp in a city. Have sleeping bag, will travel.

That might sound a bit snobbish but camping and youth hostels are not an option here, I’d be worried about my equipment. I’d rather either find somebody from LS renting a room in Denver or I’ll take a cheap hotel room even if out of town.

i stayed at hostels in argentina, chile, bolivia, and uruguay in some pretty sketchy neighborhoods and never had a problem. i find it hard to believe you’d get blagged at a american one in denver. just watch your shit, dude.

how bad do you want to cover this? if it’s something you really want, then buy a small tent and find camping sites. grow a beard.

Hey Martin. I’d be glad to let you crash at my place. I should be covering the convention as well. I gotta see how the wife feels about it but I’ll get back to you promptly.

Cheers!

I’ll be heading out there as well, hotels are going to be tough yea, but I’m not above a hostel. Only reason I’d like to get a hotel is so that I have a bathroom to soup my film in every night.

I do like Bill’s idea though, a car is decent and a McDonalds bathroom can make you look more presentable than you’d think.

rent a motorhome. you can stay in walmart parking lots for free. Im serious. split it with some other pjs and it would be cheap- cheaper than a hotel. could also park it right near the convention. a mobile basecamp/photo lab/brothel or whatever your fancy is

Martin the wife says that you can stay here. So long as you don’t mind cats. PM me and we will work out the details.

Cheers!
