Need photo store/shooting assistance in St. Petersburg, Russia

I’m leading a small group of college photography students aboard the larger Semester at Sea program, a study-abroad program aboard a floating university (http://www.semesteratsea.org). We are scheduled to dock in St. Petersburg on 01 July for five days and I have a few students who are in need of a camera store, both for replacement purchases due to damage and also just to see what the camera market is in St. Petersburg. I am aware that the pro gear market is limited; simple P&S could get them by until our next port in Copenhagen.

Are there any St. Petersburg Lighstalkers out there that can assist with some store locations? Also, any tips on photo ops would be greatly appreciated. I have researched some options but the local angle is always helpful, as I try to provide locations that aren’t of the tourist type, allowing for more of a cultural immersion.
