Winner of many awards her work hangs in private collections internationally and around the country. Nellie
VIN photographs has been published in “The Star”, “Irish Voice in America”. Her work has been exhibited at the galleries in various New York State Charities Donations venues and gracing the walls of the many private collectors who have commissioned her work. Since 1988 she has passionately devoted herself to filmmaking. She became a member of Independent Filmmakers Association. It was at this time that she reached a filmmakers and photographers maturity of considerable prominence; she has received recognition in several national competitions.
She presents photography of the countryside and landscape, as well as some of her fine art work in black and white. Her photography is not a product in and of itself; but rather, a series of images that evoke a sense of ethics and philosophy, with almost religious meticulousness sweet images, charismatic and vivid. It is an imperceptible testimony to the natural cycle of life, that no one should break and she who seeks harmony with her camera and nature. For Nellie, photography is an essence of her passion, it is an intermediary with human contact, it is a slow progression toward an untiring desire to find meaning for the things in life. Besides specific characters which permeate her subjects a sense of sacredness and mystery hovers over all of Nellie’s Vin pictures which the photographer appropriately manages to capture with grace and, at times, lyrical effusion amongst trees, clouds, roads, architecture monuments and the spectacles of an incomparably generous nature with the utmost respect for the tutelary deity of this glorious world.
