New Photo Essay
|
I would love some feedback on my most recent project. I would have really loved to spend more time on it, but I had three days to shoot, and a few days to edit and create the slideshows. If anyone has the time, I’d love to hear about the edits I made. The slideshows include many more photos than the printed photo story, I’d like to know what you think about what I picked. I feel that it may be a bit shallow, but I hope the slideshows make up for it. I’d love to hear what everyone thinks…. find it at

Cameron, I had a chance to look at this awhile back, and I thought there were some very touching/moving images in there..it’s too late for me to look again now, but will try to look again and let you know which I found the strongest if thats the kind of feedback you are after.

Erica, thanks….that’s exactly what I’m looking for. The great thing about the web is that I can publish the story however I want, lol. There are two images that I really loved that a lot of people didn’t think should get published. One is of Noelle, it’s all blurry but her hand. And the other is of Timmy, and it’s all blurry but his face. I thought these photos might have given the viewer a little taste of what autism is like to the person who has it as opposed to what a person with autism looks like. I didn’t want my story to say, “oh look at these poor children.” But at the same time, I didn’t want to interject my own interpretation of a disorder that I can never come close to actually experiencing. I don’t know, just something I had to think hard about, and something that I would like to hear other people’s opinions about.
