New PowerBook Battery source?

Hey,

looking for a new PowerBook battery for a, yep, a PowerBook. I know cheap usually means rubbish but looking for something half decent for a reasonable price. Had a quick look around and it’s difficult to ascertain the quality from a 72dpi image so anyone have any good experience with some of the generic brands??

crap, con, there is a brand that i used to sell that was really great, and only about 2/3 the price of the oem. can’t remember the name for the life of me, i guess the meds are working… :)

Con, maybe you should spring for the real thing… I bought a cheaper battery (Lenmar) for my Powerbook and now, after just four months, it can barely hold more than half its advertised charge. Otherwise you might check the reviews on Amazon for other Powerbook batteries.

good point, Peter, but the reason I suggested the FastMac batts was because, working for an independent Apple supplier, we did a pretty extensive evaluation of them and decided they were good enough that we could stand behind them.
