I just started having the same problem. No notifications. My “send email” ticked, everything else is exactly the same way as it was and I just stopped getting them. How did you guys solve it?

Shinji knows about the problem as he returned my email the other day. As of now, the problem is still unresolved. You just have to keep checking in.

I’m not getting subscriptions either, but Shinji knows about the problem.
Other problems I’ve found recently with the site:
1) Can’t edit gallery photo information like captions, keywords and seconds per image for the slide show. When I try to it takes me to the page to create a new gallery.
2) Can’t upload mp3 audio files.
Shinji is aware of these problems also.

Most likely, email from lightstalkers.org is being blocked by an intermediary spam filter. Unfortunately, we have no control over this; your best bet is to check your spam filters, or, if that’s not the issue, contact your ISP for help. Thanks!

My spam filter has been turned off and still I haven’t been getting e-mail notifications for at least a month. Sent an e-mail to Shinji…no response.

i have not received any email notices for several weeks and i have not changed any settings on either lightstalkers or my email account. i think it is a lightstalker issue.

Yeah, not sure what is going on either, but Shinji is aware of the problem. You might want to email him.

This is starting to bother me! Are there people that get their mail from LS? Maybe it’s a selective thing.

indeed, every time i see an email in my inbox with the subject Re: NOT GETTING EMAIL NOTIFICATIONS ALL OF A SUDDEN i think about the irony of life.
i have a test for you, change your lightstalkers default address to another email addreses and then we will post something here and see if you get the email notifcation.
thus ruling out if it is your current mail account that is having trouble.

Tried that Sascha and it didn’t work. I also went in to http://www.lightstalkers.org/subscriptions and discovered something new: all my subscriptions say ‘unsuscribed.’ When I click on them nothing happens. No options and no change. Take a look at your subscription page.

the presence or lack of the “ed” at the end of unsubscribe is important. i do get all my email notifications and mine say unsubscribe (no ‘ed’) and when i click on that i no longer get email for that particular thread.
when you say you tried changing your lightstalkers email did you change it to somethingelse@charliemahoney.net or to a totally different email domain. the main reason that a certain email address is not getting them is the possibility that your mail sever has blacklisted lightstalkers.org and changing the user @ the same domain will not effect this. try changing it to something totally different charlie5000@yahoo or what have you.

I think you are right on Sascha. I imagine Go Daddy has blacklisted lightstalkers as I no longer receive these notifications to my web site email address charlie@charliemahoney.net. When I changed to gmail, they started arriving again. Now how can I say that I want to receive email from Lightstalkers!? That is the question.

No news, Alex. I’m not sure what is happening. I ultimately changed my email login at lightstalkers and now I receive the updates in my gmail account. I think that Sascha was right, that our service providers are spam-blocking lightstalkers.

Charlie…Thanks for the tip about changing my e-mail address on the log-in page. That never occurred to me. I just switched to a different e-mail account in my profile. Hope this works. Cheers, G.

i switched to a couple of accounts and they all seem to have been blocked except gmail.
i contacted my provider and they asked for the IP of the server where the email was coming from. i contacted LS support… will keep you updated.

switching the address on the same mail domain wont do anything as the server is blacklisting lightstalkers.
