opinions about scanner V700/750
|
Hi. Anyone knows about how decent is the 35 mm scans of the Epson V700 or 750? Don’t waste opinions about imacons (there are not any in my country) or other expensive solution like one scanner for 35 and another for medium or big format. I like the freedom of use a flatbed scanner for any format i like to shoot. I use now a Canoscan 9950 but i would like to know if are there some better now. Since i use a lot my leica but i would like to experiment with my rolleiflex and other more extrange cameras i will wait if any have some comments to plan an upgrade.
Many thanks

I have the 700 which I bought to replace an aging Nikon Coolscan IV.
I like that I can do medium format and large and whatever, but I still use the Coolscan for 35mm negatives. I really just like the results better, even though it’s slower and far more troublesome.

Thanks. Any more? I viewed the review Daniel but i don’t understand if the proofs are with some default sharpen system or raw takes. Hey Jim, do you try the V700 scans with highpass sharpen and borders sharpen. Maybe this can give you some detail extra that makes the things easy. I used to use coolscans but i like more the cold light of some flatbed scanners than the led lights of the nikons.
