‘I always work from instinct, intuition and from the heart’
Born and educated in Italy. Paolo is a self-taught photographer while living in London and assisting various prestigious photographers. He then freelanced for several British magazines and design groups alongside a number of more personal projects.
He presently lives in Japan where is focusing on Asian issues.
He has exhibited internationally; his work has been shown at the Association of Photographers in London,The National Portrait Galleries of London and Edinburgh,The Royal Photographic Society in Bath, The Mangani Gallery in Fiesole, The Tokyo Art Directors Club Gallery,The Angkor Photo Festival, The NYPH11, FOTOGRAFIA Festival Internazionale di Roma, Delhi Photo Festival.
He has won several awards with the Association of Photographers of London, the John Kobal Portrait Award, The Lens Culture International Exposure Award, The Sony World Award, The World Press Photo Award, The Anthropographia Award for Human Rights, The Taylor Wessing Portrait Prize, PoY international.
His photographs are part of the permanent collection at the Museum of Fine Arts, Houston.
