OUR HISTORY
Founded over 117 years ago, The Pen and Brush, Inc. is an international organization for women in the visual, literary and performing arts and supporting public members.

OUR GOALS
Address the inequality of opportunities available to women seeking careers in the arts by providing a dedicated facility for the presentation of their work.

Represent consistently high standards of professionalism in the presentation of art created by women.

Encourage and support young and emerging women artists through scholarships and mentoring.

Provide public access to the work of women artists in a setting that encourages exposure to the variety of art forms.

TO ACHIEVE THESE OBJECTIVES
Pen and Brush hosts over 70 events per year, including art exhibits, music and theater performances, writers’ workshops and educational events. Most of these events are open to the general public, while some are designed specifically to benefit our membership.
Pen and Brush is a 501©(3) not-for-profit organization.

Open to All Media. Open to All Women Artists Nationally and Internationally

Accepted Media: All Media (Visual Art; Literary Works; and Short Film/Video; Performing Arts Recordings). Up to 3 individual works may be submitted.
Entry Fees: $35. for members; $50. for non-members. (Join & Entry for discounted combo. rate $100.)

The Pen and Brush, Inc. is now accepting submissions from all women artists internationally, working in all media for a Peoples’ Choice Exhibition. After the submission deadline, (Sept.18th), we invite the public to show their support for women in the arts through a People’s Choice round of voting.
