I won’t be home, BCN, until Sept. 7th, and I don’t mind coming up from BCN to pick anyone up after the 7th to come back down to BCN. I have a Renault Migane, can fit 4 people, no problem. Sorry I couldn’t be of service before the 7th. Now with me, other than via train, I can stop at Figuires, Dali Museum if anyone likes, Cadaques, Dali home in Costa Brava, take A7 main freeway or down national II NII via the coastal route back to BCN etc. Anyways below is the train schedule as another option.
Another option is the train, here is the schedule below for that day. www.renfe.es English option, Couldn’t get the train prices, but I suspect less than 100 euros, San Sebastian First Class round trip is around 70 euros, and Geneve Switzerland is 200 aroundish Euros round trip.
If you decide the train option from Barcelona, you can catch a train at Sants Estacio BCN. You can get there via METRO LINE 3 green, and 5 blue, and also you can get there directly from the airport via the airport train to barcelona as well, so no problem with transportation from airport. Now at the train station, all foreign out of Spain travel ticket counters or on the left side of all tickets windows, grab a number quickly as I have waited up to 3 hours for my turn and other days just 30 minutes. They usually speak a little English, so you shouldn’t have any problems letting the ticket window know where you want to go and come back.
When you arrive at the BCN airport, in the middle section, is a people overpass to cross the road to the train station area, and I believe the cost is 1.05 euros each way, I haven’t used this in 4 years as I usually have a family member pick me up. 1.05 is the normal cost one way for metro, bus, etc, and a t-10 a 10 trip metro ticket is 6 euros something for a discounted rate, etc.
