About

I’ve been in journalism since 1991 and have been shooting photos since I was five years old. For most of my career, I’ve worked as a reporter—reporting mostly for public radio in the U.S. (including shows such as NPR’s Morning Edition and All Things Considered, Marketplace and others) but also for newspapers and magazines, including The New York Times Magazine and Spin. I also worked as a news producer/editor for MSNBC.com. From 2006-2007 I took a year off from journalism to help a U.S.-based travel-related company set up five offices in India, and I served as vice president of the India division. Now I’m firmly back where I’m happiest, in journalism… telling stories through images, sound, and words.
