Philip Blenkinsop Argentic Prints
|
I was looking at some of Philip’s work on LS which I deeply admire and noticed he refers to the prints as Argentic print, blood, inks.
I “think” I figured out the blood and ink part. Is Argentic a regular silver based print? Maybe I am assuming too much as I thought he worked only in traditional film and processing.
Thanks

“argentique” is the common name for film photography in French. it comes from the fact that film is covered with silver bromide.

Well I can tell you from personal experience, Firip’s blood is pig’s blood from Klong Toey in Bangkok, and smells pretty rank after 24 hrs being carried, in a bottle, from Thailand to Perpignan in the summer heat.
