The child of a former photojournalist, and the recipient of a BA in History from Temple University Phoenicia views photography as a visual recording of History, and therefore crucial to the preservation of the past. She believes photographers are therefore Historians and will shape the future with our visual stories. Being that her Historic concentration is the History of the underdeveloped world more popularlly known as the Third World she feels it is her God given responsibility to tell the stories of the disenfranchised, because as the old African Proverb says until History is written by lions, hunters will continue to be the victors. She plans to take viewers to a place they have visited, but never experienced, and show them the world from an angle they have never seen before.
Phoenicia specializes is in landscapes, editorial photography, and documentary photography.
A new comer to the West Coast moving to LA in January 2010 from New Jersey she is using fresh eyes as an opportunity to show people on the east coast California, and to show those on the West Coast California in a way they have not noticed before.
