Hi everyone,
I am searching for a photograph to use on the cover of an academic book about Israeli tourism. The image should show Israelis or Western tourists consuming Arab culture. So, perhaps showing them visiting Bedouin tents, or shopping in an Arab market in Israel or Jerusalem. (But not snorkeling in the Red Sea, for instance, because that’s not about consuming Arab culture.)
The image could also be something more general, for example Western tourists in an Arab country. But, if the photo is not taken in Israel or Jerusalem it will have to be abstract, in other words not recognizable as a particular place. I don’t want tourists in front of the pyramids, for example, because that is too specific to Egypt.
If you have photos you’d like to submit, please let me know. You can send low-res images to me by email, but not too many, please.
Contact me at mwoodward@merip.org.
Thank you.
Best regards,
Michelle Woodward
