Says 20.8% of photographers are just like stupid me, very happy. And says food preparers are equally happy. Great to know, when we all get to flip burgers.

How depressing.

Maybe it’s because we’re always looking for a better (more elusive) photograph….

Photographers are right beside bartenders. The world is as it should be.

Maybe it’s a lot of photographers from the forums here who participated!
(I kid, I kid)

Happy Holidays and end of the year to all!

Either everyone else is real happy with there job which I doubt or they polled some real depressed photogs. Personally if Im making ‘a living’ from photography Im as happy as a Airline Pilot apparently is. If Im shooting a job i could care less about Im still happy Im not pumping gas..

You can pickup pumping gas

I’m happier now than when I was chasing cows for a living.

I guess we could make an average position with the journalist´s score which is not that bad. That would maybe place us closer to priests…

Photographers. So many pictures to be taken, so little time. It’s no wonder we’re “unhappy”.

by John Robert Fulton Jr. | 15 Dec 2007 16:12 | Fort Worth, Texas, United States |
Unhappy ?? Well, okay the money isn’t always what you expect BUT damn we should be happy that we can live from OUR PASSION photography. A lot of people do much more work what they totaly don’t like and maybe even for lower income.
Besides that…if you are unhappy with your job…damn look for another one than.
If you are unhappy with taking pictures? So for what to be a photographer as profession. Go for something else and don’t waist your life & money (yes, being a photog cost money) on photography.
You are 95% responsoble for your own happines.
Anyway, personaly i think that 99 % of the LS members are “happy photographers” :-)
And speaking for myself…i can’t imagen to do another job and be happy. THIS is my life & passion, in good and bad times.

Damn, I think Im doing 3 jobs in that bottom %20… I must be 3 times as unhappy as everybody else!

by Brian L Frank | 15 Dec 2007 17:12 | San Francisco, United States |
I an an unhappy photographer, for personal, national and cosmic reasons. i will not take any happyness pills neither commit suicide nor quit photography; since changement happens, my unhappiness will turn, but by now it’s here.
