Ross Domoney is a freelance photojournalist based in London and Dubai. His main interests are anthropological and documentary photography.
Ross participates in many global projects in both photographic and film related spheres. He is fascinated by how the rapid growth and modernisation taking place in Dubai is completely changing the face of the city, and has spent the last few years documenting this metamorphosis. He plans to continue focusing on this increasing urbanisation in both the East and the West.
Having recently completed his degree in photojournalism, Ross is now focusing on submitting his work for publications and working on in depth photo essays in the Middle East and Africa. He recently had a series of photographs on how workers brave the intense Dubai heat published in Time Out magazine. His work is also on display at the AOP Gallery in London where Ross qualified as a finalist in the 2008 Association of Photographers Open Awards.
Alongside photography, Ross is a keen film maker specialising in documentaries. He recently was awarded first prize in the Short Cuts film festival for his compelling portrayal of the Buncefield oil explosions which occurred in 2005.
Ross is available for both national and international assignments.
