Newspaper Photographer
Do you fit the picture? Are you a photographer with a real talent? If so, a position exists at The North West Star, Mount Isa, Queensland.
The Job involves an array of photographic duties in news and advertising for our daily newspaper and other publications. You will sometimes have to work at night and on weekends. You may have to travel to cover news events across a large area. You techinical and creative skills will be put to the test and therefore a sound practical knowledge of photography is essential. You will need to know how to use an array of photographic equipment to produce the best results.
The positon is for a qualified photographer. The grading band is Grade 2A. Experience in news photography and a previous association with a newspaper or magazine is essential.
The Person: You will need to be flexible and adaptable. You will need to be a team player, willing to work with others who share a common goal. You will need to have experience as this is not a job for a newcomer. You will have to have flair and creativity as the person we are looking for will be above the rest. You will need to present well beause you will be an ambassador for our newspaper. You will need people skills and be an effective communicator.
