Maybe it’s just a matter of personal preference, but I think that all graffiti artists should be required to take a seven part spelling test, complete with a two page essay on the vagaries of English orthography and what such vagaries might mean for the long term health of the globalized world economy, and be able to finish such a test in less than two hours and thirty minutes before anyone, and I do mean anyone, sells them a can of spray paint. Anyone not happy with this test can stick to crayons and magic markers if they feel the need to pronounce on the great walls of the day. A tube of lipstick will do in a pinch, I think.
