About

On my journeys to less developed, conflicted areas of the world, I have tried to document the circumstances of the less fortunate and minorities of our planet. Portraits of these individuals speak substantially for the masses.

Every human being carries his or her own fate that is mirrored in their eyes, their faces, their stature and surroundings. Children play a central role in my work, with an incomparable openness and innocence; a child can be more expressive than words.

Even though the pictures show a certain degree of sadness and powerlessness, it is important to me, that not only the suffering is expressed, but also the pride, happiness and hope of these remarkable people.
