Places to stay in Beiruit

Anyone have any favourites in Beiruit? Cheap is good. I’ll be around for about a month I think.

Al Nazih pension, about 3 minutes walk from Martyr’s Square. Prices are great, seems to me $6usd a night for a room with 4 or 5 beds, and if I remember up to $20usd for a private room. they will feed you too for a small price! Michel is the owner…very cool, speaks English, Lebanese, French. Can also set you up with a driver/contacts, etc. He has a website up. Oddly enough I got the info on this place from Pitor right here on Lightstalkers…talk about completing the circle!!
