I am tired of getting email notification about this post. I have digged into this and am posting my observations anonymously as I do not want to become a target of anyone. I have seen people vetting their anger without thinking or checking. I wonder how come you people are journalists without even checking the fact and just blasting out.
Did someone notice that the emails that we got and those exposed Altaf were sent from right.robert@yahoo.com
The emails that were sent last week and the person registered here has an email address right.robert@gmail.com
The last line from the last post from Robert says “We may have difference of opinion on some personal issues, but I still thank you for uncovering ME.”
All of you who got notification of the same can see that. That post is no longer here and the new one (which is again no longer here), has a last line that says “We may have difference of opinion on some personal issues, but I still thank you for uncovering ALTAF.”
I have checked with friends close to Altaf and they tell me that he is great in making stories. Maybe this is just another Altaf Qadri story/trick. Having being exposed, he wants to show up as a victim rather as an offender. He has cast his doubts on his friends and the Indian Intelligence Agencies. I can only laugh at this. What a good trick to show himself as a victim. Everyday so many pictures are being produced and are on the wire. Why would Indian Intelligence target only him? If that was the case, they would have picked him up by now. Indian side of Kashmir is NOT Burma or China or North Korea. He is only spicing it up to cover his misdeeds.
He himself created trouble for himself by cheating, lied to all of us, and is back to blaming others for his own misdeeds. I have further checked with my sources and have found out that Altaf was indeed sacked from EPA for indulging in bad work practices. In fact, I had my doubts always on his style of working. It does not require rocket science to check facts, just one phone call. We live in a wired world.
So the motive to this thread from the beginning was suspected, and now the integrity of the person is out in the open.
If Kashmir is indeed in pain, it is because of opportunists like Mr. Qadri and others, who benefit from violence rather than prosperity of the region. And that is indeed sad.
Above that, the precondition to Photo-Journalism or Journalism of any kind is honesty. If the integrity of the person is questionable, then he/she is just not fit for this. Making photos today is an easy job, thanks to technology. But keeping integrity intact is not.
just my 2 cents…
