PM is not working!

Those of you who think they have sent a PM, it is not working. I understand that it is being addressed, but it is not clear when it becomes functional again. Use an e-mail instead now.

PM (Private Mail) is a unique and very useful feature of LS. My impression is that at the moment you can “send” PMs, but the recipient will not able to access them because when you click on the PM message link after your name and Log out, an error message will come on the screen.

Tomoko for me everything seems to be in order.
I’ve send and received several P.M.s the last 2 days without any inconvenience, meaning that P.M. system works fine for others too..
No error message when i hit “unread messages”.

Some of us do have a problem accessing the PMs. I logged off the comuputer and came back on and tried the PM link again. I still get error messages. I need to e-mail Shinji about this why this is so.
I`ll send you a PM, Jonnek, and let me know here whether you get it.
I wrote a PM to Jonnek and “sent” it, but I got an error message again.

Tomoko…I sent you a PM about 5 minutes ago. Did you get it yet? I don’t seem to be having problems with this issue. But …past posts seem to be disappearing into cyber space. The mother ship might be in the process of a major overhaul. Wish they would keep us posted to lessen the confusion.

As I said, my problem is accessing my PMs and my PM link says 0 Unread Messages.

What exactly you face as an error message?
The funny thing is that even i got a new P.M., the link on top persist to announce “0 unread messages”, but in my case i can read them when i hit the link..

No, Jonnek, I don`t know I have received your PM because I just cannot access my PM. I`m going to try to access LS on my desktop and my dialup connection. There I have a different browser (Mozilla Firefox in German) and I am using Mozilla Firefox in Japanese on my laptop.

Hi Tomoko, me too. I can’t go to PM to send or view my old messages. An advice tell me that a error was reported so i belive in some time Shiji will fix it . If you want a direct contact write to support an advice. Good idea your advice, i don’t see that before. Thanks

Tomoko; i am in the same situation as yours. it’s been several days and with mine or someone else’s computer, i haven’t been able to acces my PMs.
i tried PC; Mac; Mozilla, IE… and there was no way at all.

I confirmed that it does not make any difference as long as it is me who is accesssing LS.
It appears possible that I have sent my PMs O.K. despite the error message I got as Jonnek told me so in the above.

So no chance of reading or sending PMs, as i can’t get to the Sent / Received pages
Have changed my password, but this doesn’t help.

According to Jonnek who did receive my PM (without any confirmation page on my end), the sending function seems to be working, except that those of us who cannot see any PM messages cannot receive any PMs for us to read.
When the whole thing is restored to the original state, we may have a few PMs to read.

have you received e-mail notification about a possible P.M. that someone may have send to you, those “difficult” days?

No, I don`t think I received any e-mail notification about possible PMs. However, I just looked at my spam folder and found an e-mail from Gregory Sharko without any body of text but with attachments which seem to be e-mail notifications of my posts in this thread.
I should check my spam folder from time to time, it looks like. I did check the spam folder at the time this new system of passwords was installed on LS, but I recall I did not see anything from LS.
I have not set up to receive e-mail notifications of PMs. I don`t receive many PMs and I have not been on the road for a while.

PM is not working yet for me still. I have written to Shinji, but have not heard from him.

when I send a PM it says :
“Sorry, an error occurred.
A detailed report of this error has been recorded, and we’ve already been notified. Thanks for your patience.”
I looks like a common problem with many.
