Portable harddrives

I’ve been using a Vosonic X-drive Pro portable harddrive to back-up my images while travelling. Only gripe is it’s pretty bulky and only has an LCD screen so I can’t actually see the images. (Didn’t think that was a problem when I bought it, but now I’m biting my nails as it comes to the end of a month on the road and I’m not TOTALLY sure if my shots are really there at all).
Seems like an Ipod might be the way to go but a) I would like something with an integral slot for CF memory cards and b) they’re expensive since I want at least 60gig memory.
I’d appreciate any tried and tested recommendations.

With thanks

Thanks for that link Charlie – Some interesting ideas there.

Looks like the Vosonic I’ve been using gets a few thumbs-up. A couple of important factors for me are the viewing screen (for reassurance that images are REALLY there), plenty of memory (min 60gb), card-reading slots AND changeable batteries. My Vosonic will only read about 4gb on a full battery and, since I’m going to be on assignment in Borneo soon for about 3 weeks, it will almost instantly become just dead-weight in my backpack.
