This is a note to announce and explain our new and improved keywording system at Lightstalkers.
For a while now, you’ve been able to add keywords to posts, resources, and your member profiles. When you click on a keyword link, it shows you all the other posts which have been marked with the same keyword. You can also subscribe to a particular keyword via RSS, if you’re so inclined.
(One note — lists of words are broken up automatically, so if you enter “new york times” it’ll be entered as three separate keywords. To make sure they stay connected, use underscores instead of spaces — “new_york_times”.)
We like keywords so much that we’re now using them for our “category” links at the top of the page. We’ve retroactively keyworded everything, so posts which used to be in the “Assignments” category now have the keyword “assignments”.
If you have bookmarks to the old category pages, please do take a moment to update them; the address is slightly different now.
Any questions, fire away. We have more keyword-related enhancements in store, so your feedback may help. Thanks everyone,
