Tolerance of other cultures and beliefs of others including our own beliefs from the outside world is what I hope photojournalism can teach us.
Money and Power imho appear to be the biggest killers of people and the photojournalist layes his life on the line everyday at home and abroad. They should get the same kind of neutral respect and protection the UN and the Swiss are able to command.
We are indebted to Daniel Pearl and all the others who have given their lives to show the world that even though we are different we are also very much the same.
The scope of the tsunami disaster could never be imagined and the level of assistance may not have gone out to help with the suffering were it not for the reporting.
We can all help now and be an active part of the rescue with the technological advances of our time.
Sorry if this sounds a bit like the answer to a Miss America question but in the short 5 years of this century we have seem some incredible suffering.
